These earrings were hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet metal. They feature cast sterling silver skulls & crossbones, accented with garnets, tiny rosecut stones and rough Ant Hill garnets.The garnets are bezel set in fine silver. If you aren't familiar with Ant Hill garnets:
They are called "ant hill garnets" because they are found on and around the margins of ant hills. The ants encounter the garnets while excavating their underground passages. The ants haul the stones to the surface and discard them. The rain washes the garnets clean and moves them down the flank of the ant hill, where they can accumulate in large numbers.

Finished with a fun hand stamped border & oxidized.

The earrings are 2.25" in length and .75" in width. They weigh 10.54 grams each.
