Natural Rough Moldavite Light Green Tourmaline Sterling Silver 14K Gold Accents Pendant Necklace
$188.00
This pendant was hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet metal and 14K gold wire. It features an interesting rough moldavite stone in a deep forest green hue. Moldavites are a type of tektite, natural glass formed by the melting and cooling of silica sand or rock ejected into the atmosphere after a meteorite impact. Accented with a small, light green tourmaline stone. Both stones are bezel set in fine silver. Please note that the moldavite does not have a completely flat back, so it may wiggle a bit in the setting. I did my best to minimize the movement with a tight bezel. Three tiny 14K gold balls sit atop the moldavite stone. The metal was oxidized and the silver given a brushed finish. Hung from an oxidized sterling silver wheat chain.
The pendant is 1.75" in length and .75" in width. The wheat chain is 1.3 mm in width and 20" in length.
