Natural Ammonite Stone Stamped Sterling Silver Long Swing Dangle Earrings

These earrings were hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet metal & wire. They feature 2 natural Ammonite stones, bezel set in fine silver. These stones are rounded on the back and don't sit perfectly even & flat, so the bezels were filed to different heights to accommodate the slope in the stones. I gave the stone settings a stamped border with a curved line metal stamp. The stone settings were soldered to heavy gauge round wire, making them long & swingy dangles. The metal was oxidized. Hung from hand fabricated sterling silver French wires.
The earrings (including wires) are 3" in length and .78" in width. They weigh approx. 9 grams each.
